Oh hey! I'm Kaitie!

Most days you can find me out for a walk in the back fields listening to a podcast, in the kitchen cooking for my family of six, or creating fun & interesting content for my newly redesigned blog. I am mostly known for my ability to feed my family on a budget, my love of books, my love of jeans and hoodies, and camping adventures! I’m most passionate about creating a balanced life. That means showing up for myself, before I tackle #momlife and the rest of the chaos. My motto is simple: you can’t pour from an empty cup.

To say big things are happening are an understatem To say big things are happening are an understatement. For so long I loved this little place of mine on the internet… It allowed me to express how I feel, share exciting ideas I have and provide some delicious family meals. Then life hit. Another daughter came into our world and I lost all focus on the stuff that brought me happiness as i shifted into mom-mode. HARD. I sat in that life for a little too long, always having a string pull me back here to this space. I knew DEEP DOWN I wasn’t done. Now I have decided to build this little space back into my life, on my own terms. Show up authentically as myself, and realized this little space can be so much more than just a few recipes. While the welcome back is slow rolling, and new content is in development, i was too excited to hold it back. April 2022 I will be launching a weekly newsletter sharing all things health & wellness. But here’s something to think about... These healthy meals I indulge in every morning... they are part of my morning routine. They fuel me up, and help me kick start my day on the right foot... with a full heart & full tummy. This super simple Avocado Toast comes together in minutes with a little prep (and if you know me, I’m not a huge meal preppier). •Avocado Toast• 1 slice multi grain bread 1/4 avocado 1 egg, hard boiled Cilantro Lime juice Salt & Pepper Hot Sauce • Toast bread & mash avocado on toasted bread. Slice egg & top on toast. A few squeezes of lime juice, sprinkle cilantro, salt + pepper & splash a dash of hot sauce on. Ta Da! Yup, it’s that easy!
