How To Create A Cute Birthday Party Snack Table

I can’t believe my youngest is ONE YEAR OLD! EEK! When did that happen? I remember last summer having Hazel and her being this tiny, sweet girl who was snuggly and quiet. Now, well, she’s got a personality of all her own. She likes to do things at her own pace (which seems to be very quickly these days), and gives the best kisses!

We recently had a party to celebrate Hazel turning one, and while I knew she wasn’t going to really remember anything, I still wanted to make her first birthday special. So being a sweet little girl, little woodsy creatures seemed to be the perfect theme.

After scouring pinterest for party ideas, and food ideas, I came up with these amazing little critters for the dessert table. We had about 40 people come over and I made lasagnas, baked mac n’ cheese, chill, several salads and a vegetable tray on top. It was an absolutely wonderful day with our closest family and friends. I couldn’t have asked for a better party for her.

The only thing I couldn’t pass up, that wasn’t woodsy at all was this adorable peacock. But how could I say no?

Next up, ridiculously sweet hedgehogs (and olive noses), orange fish (including blueberry bubbles) and mice! The mice are made with strawberries, almond slivers for ears, cheese string tail and are sitting on swiss cheese on a cracker!

I made an Owl out of our cut up veggies and dip.

And we can’t forget about cake! I made two smaller cakes (one raccoon and one fox) along with 24 “Mum” flower cupcakes.
