My Top 30 now that I’m 30: Breakfast & Lunch
I love food. It really is a huge passion of mine and although life, kids, work, and a million and one things can get in the way of my passion, I always seem to find my way back to the kitchen. Call it my happy space, the place I centre myself in, and the heart of my home.
I recently turned thirty years old and to celebrate my birthday and my passion, I thought I would share with you my top 30 favourite recipes that I absolutely love. To help keep this post/round up somewhat short I have divided this into three groups. Today I’m going to share my favourite breakfast & lunch recipes. Then I will share my favourite dinner recipes, and finally my favourite sweet treats!
Each of these recipes I’m sharing below I have made in my kitchen for myself or for my family. Not all of them are my own, but they are staples inn y kitchen regardless and I promise you and your family will enjoy them as well!
A personal favourite way to start the morning off is with a delicious breakfast.
I love this Egg & Avocado Toast even for lunch. It’s filling, delicious, and takes little time!
Next up is an amazing one dish wonder, perfect to make ahead for a busy week!
This Cherry Apple Baked Oatmeal will be a must make at least once a month when I go back to work.
I love a treat for breakfast… but this is more then just that! Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and this Chocolate Brownie Waffle turns into a dessert. The best of both worlds? I think so!
What can I say? I’m a sucker for make ahead breakfasts. I typically whip it up the night before, so the next morning is just re-heat and serve. Ève, Audrey and I are all pumpkin lovers (and fall is coming so soon!! eek!!). When I made this Baked Oatmeal with Pumpkin & Bananas from Gina at Skinnytaste, we were lucky it lasted for two mornings… but barely.
What about a brunch? I love when we all get together around the table for a family brunch, and nothing is better then serving up a plate of Potato Pancakes with Eggs & Mornay Sauce.
Not all of my favourite meals come from my kitchen! This absolutely mouthwatering
Hummus & Avocado Toast from Gina at Skinnytaste is a weekly breakfast dish for myself. Sometimes I enjoy it for lunch as well!
You can’t have a round up (in my opinion) without one of the hottest (and easiest) meals these days… or I guess coldest? Smoothie bowls! This Berry Good Smoothie Bowl will help keep you full, satisfied, and ready to tackle the day!
I keep talking about preparing and cooking in advance… it always saves our family when last minute issues arise in the morning (can you say 3 little girls getting ready in the morning… plus me… doesn’t that just scream ‘last minute issue about to arise’?!)
That’s why these Dairy-Free Peach Chocolate Chip Muffins fit the bill (and save some sanity)!
And to prepare a delicious treat on the go, why not whip up a simple parfait with this
delicious Lightly Sweetened Granola!
And when you’re having lots of friends or family over, making a frittata is always a great treat for everyone (it also does amazing things for dinner as well).
A personal family favourite is my Sausage, Red Pepper & Asparagus Frittata!
These are just some amazingly tasty treats that are my favourite dishes to make around here. I still have twenty more recipes… like dinner time favourites plus some amazing desserts!
Thank you so much sweet friend and I can’t wait to share more with you! What are your favourites for breakfast and lunch? I would love to hear them!
