3 Ingredient Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies
What if baking a batch of brownies took 3 ingredients and about 10 minutes to prep? Sound like your kind of baking?
What if it was so easy that KIDS could do it?
Well it is… and both my girls Ève and Audrey are here to show you! Recently Audrey turned 5 years old, and she absolutely loves to cook & bake so I thought this was a great recipe that she and her sister could tackle together in the kitchen! Ève also loves to help bake – but I think she loves to be the taste tester even more ;).
So gather up a bowl, a few spoons (depending on how many little hands are helping), and preheat your oven to 350 degrees because… here we go!
3 Ingredient Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 1/3 cup of Reece’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Spread
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of flour
note: I cheated a little and added roughly chopped, unsalted peanuts to the top, so that technically makes this 4 ingredients… but you don’t need to at all and you will still get a delicious peanut butter flavour in the brownies!
The Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the flour and eggs. Whisk together, mixing well.
- Add the Reese’s Pieces chocolate spread. Mix together well.
- Pour into an 8×8 (or 9×9) greased pan. Top with peanuts or reese’s pieces, or any other candy desired if using.
- Bake for about 25 minutes (you don’t want to bake too long or else the brownies will get hard).
- Clean up!
The recipe can easily be doubled if you’re looking to make a large batch. I personally liked that we didn’t have huge pan of brownies floating around our home, since we can’t send them to school with the girls. Our school is 100% nut-free… so clearly these don’t make the cut, BUT they were delicious to enjoy at home!
Thanks girls so much for helping out!
I’m always about getting kids in the kitchen. It’s a great way to spend time together, chat, and they always feel this sense of accomplishment when our creations are done (and we are enjoying them… at 10 o’clock in the morning… it was a PD day what can I say?).
What are some of the meals you like to create with your kids? Are they old enough to cook on their own?
Your girls are so sweet! I love baking with my son. He adores chocolate (who doesn’t?) so we’ll definitely try these yummy brownies soon!
I love that this is just three ingredients! The Reese’s Chocolate Spread is SO good and this is such a great way to use it!
Looks like your girls had a lot of fun! Looks like these brownies are easy to make and delicious!
I love that you showed your girls making these brownies – they are adorable – and the brownies look great too! Our favorite meal as a family is make your own pizza nights. The kids LOVE it (we have a son who is 11 years old and a daughter who is 9 years old). Our son makes his own quesadillas and scrambled eggs. They both like helping in the kitchen.
I love kids in the kitchen. It’s such an important skill for them to learn, and not when they are headed away for school lol if I can share a passion of mine with them, I feel like we get to bond a little 🙂
I have heard of nutella brownies so these make perfect sense. Looks like the girls had fun.
It looks like they had a lot of fun making these! These look simple yet yummy, I’m a brownie addict and will hafta try this recipe out now!
