#FoodieMamas Super Bowl Round Up
Hey guys! I love football – it’s a huge part of our house, and you can bet Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays the television in our living room is pvring one game while Clint and I watch another. That’s why this year, we feel we have enough of the house complete so we can host Super Bowl Sunday! AMAZING! I’m really excited, and already have a LONG LIST of recipes to create. Remember – it’s all about preparation and two major trips to the grocery store! Since this #epicday is coming up shortly, I thought I would share with you a round up of some amazing #quickfix dishes you can make this weekend! And incase you’re wondering, since my Packers didn’t make it… GO BRONCOS! It would be nice to see Manning take home a ring before a possible retirement?
In saying that, let’s get to the good stuff shall we? I asked some of my favourite blogging gals to join in and help kick off Super Bowl Sunday the right way!
I’m a huge fan of dips, and this Roasted Tomato Salsa takes just a few moments and will be a proud pleaser for sure! Not to mention, you can adjust the recipe easily for a large or small crowd and you can make it in advance! Hello meal planning!
I love a delicious dip, there is no doubt about it, but with big events, and large crowds sometimes a self serving, delicious pot soup is what’s needed. What’s more Super Bowl ready then Ali’s Frank’s Game Day Buffalo Chicken Chili from Home & Plate.
Next, it’s time to have something a little sweet to balance out all of the spice. Sara from Life’s Little Sweets does just that with her Honeyed Non-GMO Cornbread.
Continuing with these delicious recipes, Chrissie from the Busy Baker Blog is sharing her Roasted Red Pepper Phyllo Quiche Cups. Perfect to serve on a platter to all of your guests!
And really what’s a football game with out Nachos?! Well Manju from Cooking Curries has Vegetarian Nacho Cups that are sure to please your hungry (and maybe rowdy) crowd!
Along with these tasty treats, something a little salty & sweet will help keep momentum going, and maybe if you’re hosting some younger football fans, individual cups of this amazing
Salted Caramel Popcorn is just the thing to serve!
Next on the list are Spicy Shrimp Tacos with Mint Creme by Deepika from Easy Baby Meals. You will definitely want to check this out and have it ready for your guests!
Sabrina from Dinner, Then Dessert is sharing her delicious game day ready M&M’s Stuffed Easy Vanilla Cupcakes. Make sure you stop by, she even has a free game day Super Bowl game printable!
And what goes well with a cold dip like salsa?? Well a hot dip like this mouth watering Hot and Cheesy Caramelized Onion Dip from Amanda, creator of The Chunky Chef.
Frankly, if these amazing recipes don’t have you looking into your kitchen for your next snack, or writing up a grocery list, then I just don’t know what will! Do you have any game day favourites or traditions that you’re looking forward to?
Cheers xo
So, I’m not a fan of football – AT ALL, but I love all the game day snacking. This is a really nice round up for the game – that caramelized onion dip is singing a siren song to me.
Game Day food is the best!!
