Chocolate Brownie Waffles #FoodieMamas

Oh yes my sweet friends, Valentine’s Day is just days away, and it’s time to get all giddy about chocolate (like you haven’t already)! Today I’m going to share with you not just my take on the sweet, heavenly treat that we all know and love is chocolate – no today is the #FoodieMamas Recipe Round Up and Chrissie from The Busy Baker chose chocolate as our ingredient. Chrissie, my children say thank you 😉

When this was originally called for, I did really know what I wanted to do. There are so many possibilities from drinks, to desserts, to dinners, breakfast dishes… with such a versatile ingredient this could have gone so many ways. In saying that I decided to go with a very sweet treat for breakfast. Ok, this really only says breakfast because waffle is in the title… really, you doing to give your kids brownies in the morning?

Doesn’t that look like little heart shaped treats? These are perfect for the waffle maker and turned out easy!

Note: When you add them to your warm waffle iron, don’t cover the whole press. Add medium sized scoop to the middle, and close the lid. The heat with smooth it and spread it out evenly. Also, you will notice that the lid may rise and not stay closed tightly – that’s a sign they are close to done!

So let’s get into these amazing, mouth watering details shall we?
